Christmas kind of sprung on me this year, which is odd, because for once, I would’ve had sufficient time to get in the mood for it. Maybe it’s just the weather: +10°C just doesn’t get you in the mood for mulled wine, candles and 8-hour baking sessions.

Luckily, Germany has many beautiful christmas markets, my favourites being of course in my hometown Dresden. So if you’re also having trouble feeling happy for the holidays, here are a few impressions from the markets and of course an overview of my favourite seasonal recipes.
